A local florist delivers flowers to Skalice

Skalice, part of Frýdek-Místek, does not border the city and forms an exclave of it. It was first mentioned in 1305. In 2021, it had 1,545 inhabitants.

The Jubilejní škola Skalice is a primary school combined with a nursery school. The parish church of St Martin is a late Renaissance building dating from 1617. The Skalická Morávka National Natural Monument, designated in 2007 and also extending into Skalice's cadastral area, protects the Morávka River's wild, gravel-bearing course.
