Jan Bruntálský founded the settlement of Malenovice in 1610 near Nová Ves. It was also called Malinov because raspberries grew abundantly there. The most important landmark is the Baroque Church of St Ignatius of Loyola on Borová hill. It was consecrated in 1673, and a rectory stands beside it.
